And here's to you Mr. Anderson

I have just come to realize that one of my most respected directors, Wes Anderson, who also wrote along side of Owen Wilson my favorite film

The Royal Tenenbaums
Is also the director of his first animated film
Fantastic Mr Fox

This is indeed truly fantastic. I was excited prior, but now I'm officially shifting in my seat with anticipation.

Joke Time

So, a guy walks into a bar and orders 10 shots.
He says, "Bartender, I need 10 shots of Jack Daniels."
Bartender pours all 10 and watches the guy proceed to drink each and every one, back to back.
The bartender says, "You must be celebrating something."
The guy says, "Yeah, I'm celebrating my first blowjob."
The bartender says, "Oh, well that's kind of late, but better late than never. Congratulations."
The guy says, "Yeah, and if this doesn't get the taste out of my mouth, nothing will."

Waka Flocka Lame

So, I was sitting outside the Fulton County courtrooms last week and was doing some hardcore ppl watching. I'm sure they were staring at me, too, but def weren't thinking what I was.
I sat next to a chick that had red in her hair, a very bold red jacket, uber-skin-tight black pants, and brand-new red and black nikes. Her cell phone rang w/ a all-too-familiar ringtone of Waka Flocka's "O Let's Do It" and she proceeded to bitch about how she didn't have money to do this and that and whatever. While you're thinking now what I was thinking then, I kept my mouth shut and just kept playing the sodoku game I had in my purse.
After I saw how crunk all the ppl outside of the courtroom were getting ab that song, I really wanted to hear the lyrics more in depth and know what exactly what it was that song was preaching, rather than just the beats I could hear booming from ppl's hoopties and Metro PCS's.
Some of the lyrics talk about how it influences drugs and the drug-dealing lifestyle. What an appropriate anthem for that particular crowd of ppl, who were ALL facing felony charges themselves. Some of them even had on Obama shirts, which I'm sure he would be proud of the ppl who were representing him.
Drugs RUIN ppl's lives. Habits you can't overcome, losing your family and the ones who truly love you, bodies covered in scabs and ppl emotionally and physically deteriorating right before your eyes is what this song and others like it is REALLY preaching. Yeah, whoo-hoo, let's get crunk off of the idea of ppl walking around talking to themselves, looking behind them every 5 seconds in paranoia, scratching their skin literally to the bone. Yeah, that's what we wanna hear songs about.
Why isn't there more emphasis on topics other than drugs? Is it that far of a stretch to talk about other things in life? What about warped dreams you have? Or traveling? And not that you've got hoes in every area code??? Huh? So many ppl bitch about ppl that have no depth, that they lack good conversation. How about we branch out into individuality and stop conforming? FYI drugs are tired and old. Get on that new new and come up w/ your own shit. You might rap/sing your own songs, but your lyrics are Milli Vanilli-ed, son.

Phillip Toledano

So I recently met with my Studio adviser Adam Wagner and he told me, my new mission, is to seek and find. Become familiar and knowledgeable with all branches of art, especially photography.
This was nothing new to me, Since my return from the short lived visit to Brazil to visit family this has been somewhat of my new life resolution.

Tonight I wanted to post some works I stumbled across attempting to fulfill this mission by a photographer named Phillip Toledano. These images come from his album titled "Hope and Fear." I really dig his vision and encourage anyone interested to check out some of his other works. Enjoy.

Like Queen Said.

Living so close to campus I frequently ponder WHY OH WHY do I drive and pay for parking daily?! Not only am I basically throwing money away by driving walking distance but I'd like to find another mode of transportation that was more environmentally friendly.
Solution: I need a bike

And I found a beaut. I dig the simplicity of it's design. I'd smash all the other bikes on campus, all the fellow bicyclists would stare in envy and I'd laugh as my curls blew in the wind.
